Teaser Tuesdays!
Time for another Teaser! The rules are simple: take your current book, choose a random quote (no spoilers please) designed to get us interested in your current read. That's not so tough, is it? I always find it a challenge to choose just the right quote, and there are some great ones to choose from in my current book, The Strain, by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan. I know, I know, I was reading that last week, but I should be finishing it up tonight. Really, really good - a good scare, lots of atmosphere, and no sparkly-shiny-adorable vampires in sight. So, here goes, from page 192:
"Ephraim, what you have presented me with here is bizarre and unsettling, but it is apparently isolated. I know you are concerned for the health of a colleague, but securing a federal order of quarrantine means that I have to request and receive an executive order from the president, and I don't carry those around in my wallet."
This is the first book in a trilogy, and you just know that with Guillermo del Toro on board, there is going to be a movie. Vampires in Manhattan? I can't wait!

Well, the teaser doesn't sound that scary, but I'll take your word for it! I love scary stories!
Not big on scary stories but I got a thing for old fashioned names...love "Ephraim"!

One of the more intriguing teasers I've read today.
Interesting teaser. Maybe I should add this one to my list.
