Teaser Tuesdays!

Is it Tuesday again already? Busy, busy week but I got a lot of reading done on my last trip and I have some great reviews coming up in the next week. I've actually got 2 teasers this week! They're from a terrific book I just finished, The Brightest Moon of the Century by Christopher Meeks. I've had a lot of scary, ominous teasers lately and this time I opted for something that simply made me laugh (and cheated a bit on the whole "2 sentence" thing):

She glared at him in a way that chillingly reminded him of her father's glare. "They're plenty of of guys who want me, but I been holding them off for you. I'm what you call monotonous. A one-guy girl. You'll be sorry now!"

The second teaser, from the same book, is so sadly true about the film industry that I just had to include. This is one of Edward's professors:

"This is a tough business and only the tough succees. Yes, the new and unusual is sometimes rewarded in America, but more often than not, success comes because you deliver something adequate, on time and under budget."

Isn't that depressing? But it seems true about so many movies these days. What are you reading this week?

The first teaser is hilarious... monotonous, lol...

The second one is indeed pretty sad, mainly because of its truth.

Two great teasers for the price of...!

"I'm what you call monotonous."

I dearly love that.

Mine's here.

Those are both great! The first one is really funny - I guess I'm what you call monotonous, too. Sounds like a good book.
