If you stop by here regularly, you know that I love book signings. This weekend, I got a chance to meet two charming fellows: Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. I had suggested the book signing to a friend who loves their Agent Pendergrast stories (to be honest, I am not a big fan) and because I always enjoy hearing authors talk about their work. The guys told some great stories about how they met, how two authors manage to write one book, and how some of their best ideas were born. They were funny and charming, and invited fans to hang around after the signing for a group photo in front of the tour bus they're riding in - and let me tell you, that bus is pretty impressive! (Click here to see the bus and the photos and read their blog entry about their visit.

Too bad they don't come out here to my area. Sounds like fun!
By the way, Lisa, I've been meaning to mention ... I live in Washington state, but I grew up in Akron and graduated from Ellet High School. We used to go to Kent to party because it was only about a 20 minute drive down the freeway!
Sounds like fun. Since they're on a bus, they'll have to pass right through my town to get from Atlanta to Charlotte - I just can't figure out why no authors stop here!
I wanted to go, but missed it! Glad you got to go.
